The Mommy and Kiddos Gang doing a Parade at a Nursing Home
Trick or Treating at the same nursing home at night with both kids

Carving Pumpkins...Grandma M. was able to come up for the day and help out with carving...Owyn wanted an Owl and Xavier a Spider so I used the cricut to cut out the template and we got to work.

Hiding the pumpkins!

Heading out for some more trick or treating at a local church who puts on a fun Western themed event...they used cardboard to create it...can't find pics at the moment.

Mommy and Kiddos Halloween Party...What a Fun time we had with everyone, amazing we got a picture with everyone in it minus all moms taking pics.
At Owyn's school for her pumpkin/orange party day.  She decorated her own cookie and I think it has more sprinkles then there is cookie!
Xavier had a fun day at school for Halloween.  This is one of his two favorite teachers Mrs.Tina...Xavier is so sweet to both his teachers and they both adore him and thinks he just the best little guy ever!
And last but not least Halloween night had arrived...we actually ended up in the Ames/Slater Area for trick or treating due to no school on Friday and needing to get some work done on the van and Daddy took the day off on Friday.  Molly and Katelyn meet up with us for the night.  The weather was pretty good for us too so it worked out well.
Our last stop was the Library and they had a few fun tricks for us to do to earn our Candy the kids seemed to think it was pretty fun.
One last roar for before heading to G&G to go to bed!

Pumpkin Pickin at Heartland Farms

After checking out the Pumpkin Patch with Owyn,  Xavier was upset he didn't get to go so we decided we would go back as a Family to find our Halloween Pumpkins.  This time we got to explore a little more of the farm.  We did the corn Maze...really just a walk through with some skeleton exhibits to check out.  The kids enjoyed walking in the corn.

Then they checked out the already picked pumpkins but Xavier asked if we could go find out own in the field so we just looked at these pumpkins we didn't pick one to keep.

Then we were able to find a nice lady they took a picture of the four us us.

Then they wanted to see how tall they were this Fall...we have done this at other patches in the past.

I managed to snap a few pictures when we were on the Hayride it was a bit chilly riding around the pumpkin patch and corn field but they kids seemed to enjoy the ride with the Orange tractor that was pulling us.

The Kids did jump in the jumping pumpkin but this time we were able to try out the big jumping pillow!  The kids had a blast with this and so did we!  It was a lot of Jumping and bouncing fun.

We also got to watch the Pumpkin blaster while jumping on the big pillow... They were shooting pumpkins at a truck and car out in the field.

Then finally it was time to get out in the patch they had a wheelbarrow that we could use to bring back the pumpkins.  Xavier was super excited about picking out pumpkins he would find them and then deiced that he didn't like it.  Owyn picked out a pumpkin right away but it was too small we would be able to carve it so she decided to look for another one.

And we found it...by this time she was pretty tuckered out from the walking so Daddy gave her a ride in the barrow. Xavier tried to push her but that about ended with Owyn dumped in the field.

Then finally Xavier found the pumpkin that he wanted!  We ended up with 50lbs of pumpkin!!!

Owyn's Farm Friends Pumpkin Patch Feild Trip

Owyn was super excited about visiting the Pumpkin Patch with her Farm Friends...However on the drive to the Pumpkin Patch she got a little upset we were not going to "Her Farm School"  She was very concerned and kept telling me "wrong way" "not my school"  but I just kept telling her her teachers and friends were meeting us at the patch.  It was funny when we got there and got out and she saw her teachers it was like how did they get here?  So then she was happy and ready to explore with her friends.  First we stopped by the Picked patch of pumpkins as they explored the flat round pile then we got to see the pigs eating pumpkins for a snack....and the cows, little pony, goats, rabbits, chickens, goose, and roaster were all enjoying pumpkin too.  Then we got to jump int he pumpkin shaped jumper it was a big winner with all the kids.  We also got to go on a hay ride(which I didn't get a picture of) and then we got to have snack with our friends and after snack we got to climb the hay bails and do the slides.  At the end of the trip Owyn and her friends Kaylee found a swing to swing on together.

At last we arrived home and attempted to read a few books but only made it a few pages in when I caught her snoring away...I guess the Pumpkin Patch can be exhausting!

Fire Fighters!

Today was super exciting at Xavier's School!  It was Fire Fighters Day and they came with the big Fire Truck.  I was thankful I was able to go and join the fun as Owyn was at preschool this morning.  The Fireman talked about fire safety and then one of the fireman dress up in his fire suit and showed the kids what they look and sound like all dress up.  The kids loved this and then they showed them a few of the goodies that are loaded on the firetruck that they always take with to the fires!  It was super hard for the kids not to touch all the good items in the truck.  Then before they were done they each got a Fire Hat to take home.  Xavier talked a lot this afternoon about how he wants to be a fireman when he grows up.

Wild Wild West Day!

Howdy!!! Last Thursday Owyn got to dress up for her Wild West Theme day at her school and Xavier decided he wanted to dress up for pictures with Owyn before heading out to school.  When the newsletter came home about dressing up like a cowboy/girl or farmer I was like we only have some boots so I searched the internet and came across a super cute John Deere dress on Esty and then saw the price tag of 55 bucks and was like I could sew that I just need to find the material.  Well thankfully our local fabric store had the same fabric except the trim so I picked out some that matched the JD fabric and went to crafting up this dress.  I am pretty amazed at how well it turned out...the only issue is on the back were the straps crossed I need to figure out a better way next time to sew to keep the thread lines more hidden but this cute little dress cost me a less then 5 dollars and about 4 hours start to finish with the sewing.  Owyn was super happy about her dress.  So getting dress was a breeze compared to the mornings before.  She let me do pigtails with flower clips and then insisted that she need the head band too and you see how she likes to wear it. and then she wore her pink John Deere boots.
