Omaha Zoo with Stephie and Brian...

A Day at the Zoo with our Friends Stephanie and Brian. The kids were super excited that Stephanie and Brian were going with us.







The aquarium was lot of fun with sea turtle, and sharks and lots of fish swimming around us.  Xavier was super excited about the big sharks swimming so we managed to get a picture with a shark and Owyn didn't care so much so I got her with the super big sea turtle swimming around.

Owyn crashed out and Stephanie and Brian always ride the sky glider so asked Xavier if he wanted to go with and of course he did ...Stephanie said in line waiting for there turn Xavier kept saying thank you and was happy that Stephanie had such a good idea because he never rode this ride before.
We had to get this picture as we remembered taking it when Xavier was a baby when we had come to the zoo its another one of those I need to go find and show the comparison of how much he has grown.

We also had to get one of Owyn but we did it without Dad in the picture.





This gorilla was pretty fun when we stopped by the cage to see him. He was sitting with his back to the glass and seemed as if he was ignoring us but all of a sudden he turned around and just stared at Owyn she jumped a bit but was fine and Xavier was making monkey faces back at him.

Xavier's First Day of Preschool!

Today was a big Day at our house Xavier is going to Preschool Monday through Friday and Today was his first Day!  He was super excited about his first Day and we had to do homework..The read all about me he's holding in the picture it was a family project for the week he gets to be the star of the week.  His Teachers this year are Mrs. Stacie and Mrs. Tina and they are really awesome and Xavier seems to like them.
We snapped a picture outside at preschool when we got to school and then I was able to snap on more in the classroom before Xavier was done having his picture taken.
Tomorrow with mark two full weeks of school down and Xavier still seems to be loving going everyday...He says his favorite part of school is the toys and playing. He also talks alot about eating lunch a lot. xxxxxxxxxx (this is Xavier pushing his X so it's on the computer.

Happiness is a Day at the Iowa State Fair!

We had a long day at the Fair this year and missed out on seeing lots of things...the kids were really into checking things out and we spent a lot of time looking at the John Deere Tractors and Animals.
To start our day we did Little Hands on the Farm...I think this is one of Xavier's Favorite parts as he wanted to do it again after we finished but you also get a special treat at the end for doing your work.


Owyn had lots of fun riding "daddy's" tractors!
Piggies, Piggies....Owyn squealed but didn't want to get to close to the cage... she warmed up as the day went on but still liked having a bit of space.
Eating lunch was yummy the kids enjoyed a corn dog and lemonade.
Owyn then crashed out for a nap and missed out on Clifford the dog but Xavier got a hug and high five.
Xavier got to drive a the Big Tractor in the field.
We got to see lots of baby animals and pet them.
The kids sat in the tire of the big tractor...we joked they should make seats to strap you in so you can  ride in the tires.
Here is our look how big we are getting at the fair this year..I will have to see if I can find the same picture from the last few years and post them.
Our last stop of the day was the baby animal barn which we got to see lots of baby piggies..but due to some disease going around in pigs this year we couldn't pet them.  Bu we got to pet this baby cow...with Dads help.

Celebrating Caitlin's Sweet 16

This summer we got to go to Ohio and visit family...The kids were super happy about going and seeing the twins but not so happy about the car ride to get there but we made it.  The Boys were lots of help with the kids mainly because all the kids wanted to do is play with them.



We also got to celebrate cousin Caitlin Sweet 16 Birthday with her.  Owyn was all about helping with the presents.  Aunt Audie also was able to make it and brought a special deleivery from Carlos bakery with her and we all got to try some Cake Boss Cake!




Then the party ended with a Dark night swim...the picture below wasn't working to well with the lack of lighting for the night swim.

We got to go the the trampoline place which the kids were amazed with the size of the jumping place.  they got to jump for an hour or play...that was plenty long they were pretty tired when time was up.




On our last Saturday the kids wanted to go to the Park for the Day so Garrett and Caitlin went with to help with the kids.  They had a lot of fun in the farm area but we didn't realized the park was hosting a touch a truck event so we got to check out some cool trucks like a fire truck, semi truck, garbage truck, vet on wheels, mini school bus and a few others.
