Enjoying the high's between all the January lows!

It seems the days in January are short but the weeks are long! Even in the bitter cold we were lucky this year so far to have days when it was nice enough in the 30's and 40's to get outside and get out some well needed energy.  Xavier really wanted to go out and Owyn wanted to as soon as she realized that what Xavier was wanting.  So we all bundled up and went out Xavier wanted to make a snowman but the snow wasn't balling together for us to do that so Mom came up with the idea we could make a snow turtle so that's what we did.  Owyn just watched us holding a small shovel while Xavier and Mom scooped the snow into a big pile and then made the dome shape for the turtle body.  We added a Head and Tail and four legs.  It was getting dark when we were finishing up but the kids wanted to get some pictures so they climbed on top for a ride and then Xavier said it needed "Goodnight Kisses" So he gave the turtle those.  Then inside we went were I quickly through together dinner for to very hungry kids who wanted to eat right this minute.

I love how stinking cute my baby girl can be sometimes...she can do the silliest of things that make us totally laugh...she didn't want to get her pants on and it was one of those days were we weren't going to fight it and next things you know she got Bubbys boots on and is tromping around the kitchen in them and I love when I said Oywn what are you doing she just turned and gave me that look she gives.

Chirstmas Morning....

Good Morning! Merry Christmas! Owyn was the first to wake Christmas morning and our Elf Buttons had left a little surprise for the kids to wake up to.

Owyn crawled under Xavier's Streamers and tried to wake him up he got a bit grumpy with her and was yelling at her to get out...So Mommy to the rescue I got Owyn out and to the table for breakfast while Xavier woke up.  He was super upset at first when he was locked in his room....Mommy how am I going to get out..Don't take my picture...  But then he started to warm up and he was able to break through that Naught Elf's lock.

After Breakfast Xavier first one done saw the goodies that had been left.  He was a bit upset that the stocking were on the floor and it Santa that had been naughty this time leaving the stocking on the floor.  We also had to get Daddy out of bed since he wasn't up so we could start opening all our presents.

Owyn's first taste of snow...

Call us Crazy but the we packed a few bags(just in case) and jumped int he car and Headed to Grandma and Grandpa B's for the night as it had just started to snow...Newsman said that we should have up to a foot by morning.  Well when we got to the Grandparents house the snow was perfect for making snowmen....so quick into the snow gear and out the door we went.  Rolling the snow...Daddy likes to make hugh snowballs and goes until he can't go anymore.  Here is the start of our big snowman.

Here is a picture of Owyn with her first taste of snow...it was getting a bit cold but she didn't want to stay inside with Grandpa while we were all out playing in the snow.  She pretty much just stood there watching us.

Xavier was super busy shoveling the snow...He had lots of work to do.
And Finally they did it they got a head and we had a make shift fave we cut a potato in half and colored to circles with black sharpie and he had a baby carrot for his nose.
And of course Daddy had to make one last Giant snowball and they got it rolled near the Big snowman...Xavier thought it was fun to be on to of it.
Then we headed inside to warm up a bit and head back home we made it safely it was just a little slow going....Then the next morning as soon as Xavier woke up he wanted to go outside and make a snowman at our house.....but the weather had changed to much colder so the snow wouldn't stick together so we just played in the snow and made a small hill to sled down.

Finally we Did It!

I thought that I had published this post back in December but must have hit the wrong button. So here it is, we finally did it...Xavier had a lot of fun helping me with the decorations on the one cake.
