One and Three

It's crazy to think that my babies are getting so big. Xavier is 3 and Owyn is 1.  I have a One and Three year old.  They are a lot of fun and most days they make super interesting you never know what's going to happen with the two of them around.  I thought I would share a little about their Doctors appt.  I took both of them together and it was a bit of a crazy morning.   Xavier was in one of his moods....its my way or the highway and you to do it, its got to be his idea.

So we started with Owyn as she was more then happy to see Dr. Halbur.  So her stats at One:  Weight: 23.6lbs Height: 29inch, Head 45.5cm  She got 4 shots (two in each leg) Also got to have a blood draw to check for lead and hemogloben level. Doctor said she was growing wonderful and doing wonderful.  As far as eating she is totally on all table food and has been for a month or more as she started refusing baby food.  She done with the bottle completely and on to sippy and doing wonderful.  As for sleeping we do pretty good most night she sleeps from 8ish to 6ish and then naps 30min in am and 2ish hours in afternoon.  Each day her walking is getting better and better and she really tries to keep up with Xavier.  She really enjoys climbing and is a big dare devil.
Now for Xavier's 3year stats: weight: 37.8 height: 38inches and BP was 84/48  Xavier was also suppose to to and eye exam which he complete refused to look at and says the pictures he could see. After seeing Doctor she sent us up to audiology for Xavier to have a hearing test which we was also a stinker about. We got in the room he sat in the chair and let the lady put on the headphones and she went to the other side of the mirror and was talking and playing the sounds but Xavier was refusing to point or raise the hand to tell us which side the sound was coming from.  So we gave up on that.  The Doctor said we will try next time to see if we can get him to play the "games" but she not to worried at this point.
Xavier was playing Dr. and needed this band-aid for and old ochie that he got from fighting with the kitchen gate and his sister.

Owyn on her First Birthday!

Those moments...

I love when Owyn is resting like this with her hands behind her head.  I think she gets this one from her daddy as he tends to sleep like this.
Who needs the bathroom when you have a tree to use?  Xavier is fully day potty trained now and thinks is fun to use the tree even though the house bathroom is just in the door and around the corner.  It makes me laugh because he pulls is pants down to his ankles and lifts his shirt all the way up but this time he got him self pretty well concealed I think he knew Mom got the camera.
What can I say we have a little nudest on our hands most evening after bath, getting him to his room and clothed can be a big challenge and I think it was this night that started it all.  If I remember right the conversation went something like this, Daddy "Come get your jammies on Xavier"  Xavier laughing running down the hallway "I'm busy"  Xavier head over and starts getting out the dishes.  Mommy says " If you don't get your jammies on then Mommies getting the camera and going to take your picture."  Xavier "I like being nakie butt" Mom snaps a picture and laughs as she says to daddy "He going to love us at graduation when he finds this picture!

May Trip to Dubuque, IA

I apoligize for the delay in new post.  My computer has been broken for over a month and I hadn't been able to upload pictures so now that I am getting caught up I thought I would go back in time a bit to share a few pictures from the last month or so.  In early May we took a long weekend trip to Dubuque, IA for Andrew's cousin's wedding, which was also our 5th year Anniversary weekend. Unfortenly Andrew was sick most the day on Friday so we didn't end up doing much we just hung out. Then on Saturday we were able to go sight seeing with Grandma and Grandpa Beougher and Grandpa Rail tagged along as well. We say a lot of the city and old town and then our last stop was to the dam and were were able to see a barg coming through the lock.  Xavier was very interested in this and this is were his birthday boat them was kinda built from.

Then in the afternoon we headed to the river for the wedding is was a wonderful sight to get marreid.  Andrew missed the wedding because he was helping the brides parents as one of them locked their keys in the car so Andrew got to stand out with the car and wait for the locksmith.  After the wedding it gave us time to get some great pictures or attempts at some pictures of the four of us.

The other fun of the weekend was staying in a hotel with a pool.  The kids enjoyed being able to go for a swim and the pool was pretty much ours we didn't have to share to much.  Xavier had a bit of a scare the first night when we went swimming as he didn't have his life jacket on right away and was on the steps but then next thing we know he stuggling to keep his head out of the water so he took a bit to warm up but once he did he was a jumping fish he had so a blast jumping into the pool.  Owyn enjoyed floating around but was much happier when Mom or Dad was holding her and letting her be a bit more free.

Owyn's first big Ouchie!

The day before at nap time I couldn't help but take a picture of the Little Miss napping in her crib...all I could think is how not comfy she looked all balled up in her bed. I will Caution the next picture has some some blood. Owyn had her first big accident this past weekend when she was home with daddy. She has become super mobile and at times tries to do some really crazy things. Well she was in the kitchen trying to climb dad's backpack and when it toppled over she went with it smashing her forehead into the corner of the baseboard by the stove. Daddy said she was trooper and barely cried as you can see by the picture below she already smiling even though she not all cleaned up yet.

After the eventful morning she got some breakfast and took a nap but was happy to "help" her brother build some blocks. Xavier has been a building machine with these blocks lately he really been into making a car and driving in it with the babies, also making cribs for the baby dolls and the best thing is building towers and Knocking um down!

After the kids had their afternoon nap we headed out for Kids-fest, Xaiver had lots of fun doing the slides, and bouncers and Owyn hung out on Daddy's shoulders watching the craziness of the kids running around.

And to finish up our day at kids-fest Xavier got to meet Spider man.

Loving the Weather!

It's hard to beleive that these pictures were taken in Iowa in the middle of January! What a wonderful week we were given and Thanks to Daddy for shoveling all the snow into one big pile from the Little snow fall we had the week before the kids were able to play in the snow in their spring jackets. Owyn sure loved going for walks and then wathcing her brother drive over the snow mountain.

It crazy how fast children grow before you eyes! It really seems that it was Xavier that was just learning to pull himself up just yesterday. I can't beleive how fast Owyn is gaining new skills and learning new things every day. She now pull herself up on everything and is really on the move and can get just about anything she sets her eyes on. She is one very determined little girl!

I couldn't help but take this picture after getting home from class.  Andrew said Xavier had been refusing his nap for over an hour and when I walked in to check on him he was crashed out face down in his book.

Here our my two Valentines! It was a struggle to get them to sit still for a minute so I could snap a Valentines picture of the two together and the second one ended up being pretty darn cute of Xavier snuggling his sis and going in to giver her a kiss. He really does know how to be a sweet big brother most days but it is slowly changing as his little sister is on the move and "gettting into his things."

Here Little Miss enjoying her first really sweet treat! And check out all those teeth in her smile the count is up to 6 now! Xavier and his friends helped make the sugar cut outs and then each decorated their own and enjoyed....I think more frosting then cookie.

To end our Valentines day fun, Daddy offered up Horse back rides, and gallaped the kids around the house. The kids totally loved this and Xavier created his own style of riding after Sis dismounted.  At first he was worried but then he thought he was some pretty big stuff standing on Dad's back and kept saying I'm so high look at me Sis.
