Owyn's first big Ouchie!

The day before at nap time I couldn't help but take a picture of the Little Miss napping in her crib...all I could think is how not comfy she looked all balled up in her bed. I will Caution the next picture has some some blood. Owyn had her first big accident this past weekend when she was home with daddy. She has become super mobile and at times tries to do some really crazy things. Well she was in the kitchen trying to climb dad's backpack and when it toppled over she went with it smashing her forehead into the corner of the baseboard by the stove. Daddy said she was trooper and barely cried as you can see by the picture below she already smiling even though she not all cleaned up yet.

After the eventful morning she got some breakfast and took a nap but was happy to "help" her brother build some blocks. Xavier has been a building machine with these blocks lately he really been into making a car and driving in it with the babies, also making cribs for the baby dolls and the best thing is building towers and Knocking um down!

After the kids had their afternoon nap we headed out for Kids-fest, Xaiver had lots of fun doing the slides, and bouncers and Owyn hung out on Daddy's shoulders watching the craziness of the kids running around.

And to finish up our day at kids-fest Xavier got to meet Spider man.

Loving the Weather!

It's hard to beleive that these pictures were taken in Iowa in the middle of January! What a wonderful week we were given and Thanks to Daddy for shoveling all the snow into one big pile from the Little snow fall we had the week before the kids were able to play in the snow in their spring jackets. Owyn sure loved going for walks and then wathcing her brother drive over the snow mountain.

It crazy how fast children grow before you eyes! It really seems that it was Xavier that was just learning to pull himself up just yesterday. I can't beleive how fast Owyn is gaining new skills and learning new things every day. She now pull herself up on everything and is really on the move and can get just about anything she sets her eyes on. She is one very determined little girl!

I couldn't help but take this picture after getting home from class.  Andrew said Xavier had been refusing his nap for over an hour and when I walked in to check on him he was crashed out face down in his book.

Here our my two Valentines! It was a struggle to get them to sit still for a minute so I could snap a Valentines picture of the two together and the second one ended up being pretty darn cute of Xavier snuggling his sis and going in to giver her a kiss. He really does know how to be a sweet big brother most days but it is slowly changing as his little sister is on the move and "gettting into his things."

Here Little Miss enjoying her first really sweet treat! And check out all those teeth in her smile the count is up to 6 now! Xavier and his friends helped make the sugar cut outs and then each decorated their own and enjoyed....I think more frosting then cookie.

To end our Valentines day fun, Daddy offered up Horse back rides, and gallaped the kids around the house. The kids totally loved this and Xavier created his own style of riding after Sis dismounted.  At first he was worried but then he thought he was some pretty big stuff standing on Dad's back and kept saying I'm so high look at me Sis.

Days In...

It has been on the cold side here in Iowa so we haven't had a lot of days to go out and play so we have been spening lots of time in the house. We even started hoping it would snow so we could go play in it and it finally did but not a lot. So we have got creative in the things we play, the other night Xavier wanted to play Salon so Mommy got out the hair stuff and Xavier asked for ponnies..... "Check out my ponnies!"

And then an after thought maybe I shouldn't have let Mom take my picture....this is going to show up in my graduation collection! Things have been a bit busy around the house and we have had some really busy packed weekends working on the house. We moved my grandma's china hutch the the basement as we cleaned it up and turned it into a family room and moved Andrew's desk to the back room.

Xavier sporting the "Plumber Butt"
And then this past weekend Andrew finally fixed the faucet after he took it apart 3 times trying his different trciks but then I just went out and bought a new one and problem solved! Although Xavier had a great time helping Daddy fix it.  Spring term has stated for Andrew and he been getting back into the school mode as homework has really stated to pick up this last week. And the best news for this month was Andrew was offered an intership and accepted so he started working 10ish hours a week with that and this summer will have fulltime hours! I also am taking a class this semester all though not doing Early Childhood, I decided to try somthing a little different and have been thinking about pursing Nursing so I am taking Certified Nursing Assisstant Class. So far I am enjoying it and we will do clinicals starting at the end of March so that will really tell me if this is something I wish to continue. Xavier is also taking a "class" we enrolled him into tumbling class and he is really enjoying learing to use gymnastic equitment, last week he got to learn how to do a summer-salt. Tonight was a big step and he Pooped on the potty all by himself!!!! Although just an hour before he peed his pants....so we are gettting their but small steps! As for Ms. Owyn she is exploding with growth this month...she gone mobil and boy do we have are hands full! She is sitting herself up, scooting and just this week stated army crawling, she rolling all over the place to help get where she wants to go and when she's deteremined she got will power! She just popped another tooth makeing her have 4 total! She's also stated pulling up and gets to her knees quite well and won't be long and she be up and moving. She loves to eat and is holding her own bottle, She does okay with the sippy cup, and really enjoys the baby food but likes feeding her self crackers. I just realized I don't have any pictures of her so I will have to get out he camera this week and snap some shots of her new skills so I can post them!

Holiday Happenings

The Christmas Season got away from us this year, at one point it seemed like it wasn't ever going to happen and then here were are Jan. 2012 already and I made no blog post about are holiday happening! After my birthday things seemed to really pick up and time flew by us. So a small recap of the things that happend in the last monthish! We started off getting off those Chirstmas cards taken care of, what a fun few hours of trying to get a few good shots of a 6month old and a 2 1/2 year old, one would think playing with chirstmas lights you could snap a few decent shots but here just one of the behind the scenes trying to get those few good shots of the duo! Yep that was the back drop being pulled down my the Jolly Santa!
Xavier sure had fun going to the Tree farm with Grandpa and Grandma Beougher to pick out the Chirstmas tree for there house. Grandpa brought the truck and we got to ride on the tailgate out the the tree and then Xavier "helped" Grandpa saw the tree down and the we Grandpa cut a few of the low branches off we didn't need but Xavier insisted that we needed them so he picked his own Charlie Brown chirstmas tree. It was super cute! The Biggest event of our Holdiay season was the Big Family Trip to Ohio to see all our Family! Not going to lie the car ride with these two got a little long but we managed it and it and I'm sure we will do it again but next time it will be easier when we don't have such a fussy baby due to getting some More teeth when we left she only had two and by the time we returned home she had 3 and is working on more. The thing about that is when a tooth is going to pop she has horrible blow out diapers Thankfully we only got one out of the 26 hours we were in the car. The Candy can is a snap of the kids Chirstmas Eve PJ's a Family tradition I started with Xavier last year and I got lucky this year and was able to find matching PJ's for the two.
He a picture of teh gifts we got on Chirstmas Eve with the Whole Big family I think we had 30 bodies at Great Aunt Carol's house that night and what a releif it was to have them gone...It was a bit late and we almost didn't get to sleep and Santa almost didn't get to stop! But we did get to sleep and so he did deleiver, as you can see in the picture of our Cousin, gitfs and Us on Christmas Morning.
Owyn Created her own way of opening gifts by putting her two teeth to work and chewing threw the wrapping paper. and Here a shot of Xavier and how he must of been a good boy this year as this was is delievery from Santa, I think it shocked him how well he'ed been to get som many gifts from Santa!
After all that work the kids were a bit wore out but Xavier was still ready to play with Garrett and Gavin as they were his Buddies for the week, He still is talking about them and just yesterday asked if we could go to their house for the day......Daddy's response was call and ask them to come visit you.

And topping out the trip Christmas day at Great Grandma's house Owyn pulled out a few of her own tricks.

She started pulling up to her knee's! And then the picture of her smiling at her good doing. Great Grandma was truely amazed at the two of them and was so glad that we were able to come and celebrate the Holidays with her! It was good seeing her and watching the kids light up her week!

And now for a quick update into our life happening for the 2012 year! Andrew stated school again today as well as his first real day at his intership with Sauer Danfoss....So a busy semester for him ahead as he plans on Graduating Dec 2012!!!! Which we are so looking forward too! As for me I have decided to change gears with schooling as the Early Childhood classes aren't working for me to take at a time outside of doing the daycare and I will be taking a CNA class on Saturdays and am really think of taking it further and getting a nursing degree like LPN or RN but not totally commited to that plan for now I just need to have a back up plan for the daycare as I don't know were things are going and how many more years doing Daycare is going to work, but would like to keep doing it for at least a few more years but will feel better if I have a back up plan in case things don't work out the way I would like for them to. Xaiver is still working on the potty thing and I think this is totally an ongoing process and most days are good but then we just have some not so great days too. We enrolled him into a Tumbling Class Starting this coming Saturday and will go unitl April...I think he will really enjoy this as he been preety crazy lately. As for Owyn she is going GROWING so fast I can't believe that she is already 7 months old! It crazy to me, it feel like just yesterday we were on the way home from the hospital and I was a new Mommy of two and now it just seems so right that I have my X and O. Opps back to Owyn she got 3 teeth total now she is rocking on all fours and so close to crawling but can't figure out how to move them to take off....She does get around well by rolling and spinning herself in circle to get to what she wants and has pulled Xavier's play grill over on herself several times now. She is doing preety well since being back from Ohio with a schedule and was sleep through the night again til this past weekend! She is totally getting into eating and I think will have no problem with table food once we unleash her from baby food. She is now holding her bottle when she drink and doing prety good with the sippy cup. I will try to be back more often to add picutes and what's happening but I know this semester is going to be a bit crazy in our life and busy so not making any promises.

Snuggle Bugs!

Story time can be a lot of fun Xavier loves to read one of his faviorte books was Mommy's Go Dog Go! By Dr. Suess although this night we were reading Are you my Mother? After stories are done we give hugs and kisses.
Although some nights Xavier says Sissy sleep with me, Owyn does love hanging out in Brother big boy bed but we couldn't trust her to stay in bed now that she has masterd rolling over from back to tummy, and if we could only get her to roll back to her back instead of waking and screaming for us until we flip her back over.
Andrew and I have both said many times we think Xavier spoiled us when he was a baby as he almost always slept the night away and didn't need us in the night around 2months on. Now we just wish he would teach missy to do the same but her we are going on 5 months and she still seems to think that seeing mommy and daddy in the night is the way to do it.
